I am really glad I found this. I’m just starting TCHP treatment and doing what I can to avoid some side effects. This would be so much better in a jar or pot like the Tatcha primer or other beauty balms, with a little spatula to dispense it with that can be stored in the lid. The tubes are just really frustrating to work with. No amount of warming it in my hands or pockets really makes it easier to get the product out. I also don’t like putting an applicator directly on my skin/nails that is then stored in contact with the product. Great product, packaging needs a re-think.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful feedback — and most importantly, thank you for trusting Polybalm as you begin your TCHP treatment. We truly admire the proactive steps you’re taking to care for yourself, and we’re honored to be part of your support toolkit during this time.
You’ve raised excellent, very valid points about the packaging, and I want you to know: you’re not alone, and we are listening.
About the tube design - Polybalm’s current tube was chosen very intentionally — primarily to meet medical hygiene standards and to support portability and controlled dosing for patients in treatment. That said, we fully acknowledge that the balm’s 100% natural incredients which includes beeswax which can be firm especially in cool weather, and for some users (especially early in treatment when sensitivity is high), dispensing from a tube can feel frustrating.
Your feedback around:
* preferring a jar or pot format,
* wanting a spatula stored in the lid, and
* avoiding direct contact between applicator and product
* is incredibly well-articulated — and it mirrors conversations we’re actively having internally.
Where this is going (and why your input matters). Based on feedback like yours, we are actively evaluating alternative future packaging options, including:
* Jar-style formats
* Dual-format offerings
* Improved dispensing solutions that preserve hygiene and ease of use
Your note about premium beauty balms (like Tatcha) is especially helpful — it reinforces that patients deserve both clinical performance and a comforting, elevated experience.
A tip that may help right now - Until we introduce new packaging, many customers find it helpful to:
* In cool temperatures, warm Polybalm to 'body temperature' before use by place in warm water for 60-90 seconds or until you feel the balm is easy to apply to your nails and cuticles 2-3 times per day.
From all of us at Polybalm - Your honesty helps us improve, and your experience truly matters to us. We’re cheering you on as you start treatment, and we’re here for you — not just as a product, but as a partner in your care.
If you’d ever like to share more feedback, ask questions, or need support along the way, our team is only an email away.

My nails started changing with chemotherapy. I had the chemo lines first then they started lifting before the polybalm arrived in my mailbox. The pain was awful. Polybalm has been a dream to use. The lines are almost gone. Pain is completely gone! And believe it or not my nails are trying to lay back down. I keep them real short and follow directions. The new growth looks very healthy. I still have a long way to go on chemotherapy but hopefully I can still look good doing it. Thank you so much for this product!
Thank you so much for sharing this — your words truly mean more to us than you know.
We’re so sorry you had to experience that pain and nail lifting during chemotherapy, but we’re incredibly grateful you took the time to let us know how Polybalm has helped. Hearing that your pain is gone, the chemo lines are fading, and your nails are starting to settle back down is exactly why Polybalm exists.
You’re doing everything right — keeping nails short, applying consistently, and supporting the new growth as it comes in. The fact that you’re seeing healthier new nail growth while continuing treatment is wonderful, and we hope Polybalm continues to be a small but meaningful comfort along the way.
Most of all, we love what you said about still looking good while going through chemo. You deserve to feel like yourself — strong, confident, and cared for — during every step of this journey.
Thank you for trusting us and for taking the time to share your experience. We’re cheering you on and sending you so much strength as you continue treatment. If you ever need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The daily application on my wife's nails, both hands and feet have prevented nail issues usually associated with Chemo and post-Chemo treatments. Very happy with the product.

My husband is going through cancer treatment, and the type of chemo. He’s on now unfortunately started to turn his nails black. I googled Solutions and poly bomb was the number one rated solution to help his nails. We have been using the product now 2 to 3 times a day. and is significantly making a difference. The dark discoloration will continue through the chemo treatment, but we will continue the poly bomb for many months after the treatment concludes.Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this and for trusting Polybalm during such a challenging season for your family. We’re truly grateful you found us and that Polybalm has been able to make a meaningful difference for your husband’s nails during his treatment.
We know how distressing nail changes can be, especially when they are an unexpected side effect of chemotherapy. Your consistency and care in using Polybalm is exactly how it was intended to be used, and we’re encouraged to hear it’s helping support his nails now and as his treatment continues.
Please know how much we appreciate you sharing your experience. 5 stars for the product because it WORKS and 4.5 stars for the applicator. I'm on my 3rd box and my nails went from really bad to healthy and strong so i call it may chemo nail miracle. The reason for my 4.5 stars on the applicator a personal thing as I'm just not a fan of anything in these types of applicator, but for the results i get i will put up with a applicator.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback Brenda — we’re truly grateful you took the time to share your experience! We’re thrilled to hear that Polybalm has helped your nails become healthy and strong again — that’s exactly what we hope for everyone going through treatment.
We completely understand your thoughts about the applicator and truly appreciate the honest input — it helps us continue to improve.
Just a quick tip: if you live in a cooler climate, Polybalm can firm up a bit in the tube. Warming it to body temperature before use (by holding it in your hands, keeping it in your pocket, or placing it in warm water for about 60–90 seconds) will make it much easier to apply.
Thank you again for your continued trust and kind words — we’re so glad Polybalm has become part of your healing routine.
